Property Tax Foreclosures

The Surry County Tax Collector, at the direction of the Surry County Commissioners, is aggressively pursuing the collection of delinquent real and personal property taxes.  One of the collection tools used by the Tax Collector is the employment of private attorneys to commence formal foreclosure proceedings under North Carolina General Statutes 105-374 against real property on which there are delinquent unpaid property taxes.

The properties listed for sale on this website are being foreclosed under judgment of the court for failure to pay Surry County property taxes.  This is not a sale by the County of any surplus properties owned by Surry County.

Property is offered for sale "AS IS, WHERE IS".  Buyer beware-no representations, warranties, or guarantees of any kind are made by Surry County.  The buyer is not entitled to any payment for loss of profit or any other money damages-special, direct, indirect or consequential.  The information posted about any tax foreclosure sale (notice, minimum bid, redemption, structures and pictures) is for assistance only in this investigative process, and cannot and should not be relied upon solely by any bidder.  Properties listed are subject to redemption at any time prior to the entry of a confirmation right before a sale or after a sale. Any redeemed properties are withdrawn immediately from the sale process.  Efforts are made to update this website in a timely manner with redemptions and sale information, but this website cannot be relied upon to be up-to-date in "real time".  For the status of any property, the bidder is required to check the court file and/or with the attorney handlng the sale.
