Tourism Development Authority

Surry County TDA LogoThe Surry County Tourism Development Authority (TDA) was established by the North Carolina General Assembly in 2009. The Authority expends remitted occupancy tax revenues collected by the County to promote travel and tourism in the unincorporated areas of the County. The TDA meets on a quarterly basis and meetings are open to the public. The Surry County TDA participates in the Tourism Partnership of Surry County, a collaboration between the County TDA and the four municipal TDA's (i.e. Dobson, Elkin, Mount Airy, Pilot Mountain). The Tourism Partnership manages a countywide marketing program with funding provided by all five TDA's.
